2. Applies to SQL Server Editions: Standard & Enterprise. 
3. Microsoft SQL Server User CALs allow users to access the SQL Database no matter the devices they use. User CALs are more cost-effective if each User needs to access the server from different workstations, locations, or devices.
4. If you need to have external users such as a contractor accessing the database, you will need to purchase a User CAL for each contractor. These CALs can then be moved to another contractor when they are no longer on the job.
5. Device CALs are more cost-effective if you have workers who share devices such as an AM shift and PM shift.
6. If you need to have external users such as a contractor accessing the database, you will need to purchase a Device CAL for each of their machines.
7. Device CALs are required for every Device that accesses the database, regardless of the users who are accessing those devices. 
8. No SQL Server license included. These are only CAL's for your organization.
